Taft Properties celebrates 20th anniversary
Beginning with Palmas Verdes in the late 1990s, Taft Properties steadily expanded its portfolio of subdivisions to include Hacienda Salinas in Lahug and Nichols Park in Guadalupe. Later on, the company decided to venture into high-rise development with an ambitious first project.

Horizons 101 set the bar higher as Cebu’s tallest residential condominium. As the flagship horizontal development of Taft Properties, Horizons 101 is now an icon in the Cebu City skyline, and is even the tallest tower outside of Metro Manila. Soltana Nature Residences in Lapu-Lapu City soon followed, marrying island charm with urban convenience. A third condominium complex, Taft East Gate, stands out as a dynamic mixed-use development right next to Cebu Business Park, and holds the distinction of being one of Taft Properties’ fastest selling condominium developments.
Faster still were the sales of units at Symfoni Nichols, Taft Properties’ most affordable condominium. The combination of highly competitive pricing and good quality proved to be such a success, that the company decided to take the Symfoni brand to Metro Manila, where Symfoni Kamias was launched. South of the capital, the company developed Citation Residences, a modern, family-friendly subdivision in Biñan, Laguna that now has a thriving community. This development also sold quickly, prompting Taft Properties to expand with Cera at Citation.
From Cebu to the rest of the Philippines, Taft Properties has moved forward with a clarity of purpose that has been key to the company’s longevity. Striving to provide straightforward solutions and service to clients every day, Taft Properties operates under the rallying cry of “Make it simple. Make it Taft,” which resonates from planning to execution, and every endeavor in between and beyond.
“Make it simple” was crafted with Taft Properties’ hometown of Cebu in mind. Cebuanos are particularly known to be practical people, valuing simplicity above all else. Such a grounding principle paradoxically allowed Taft Properties to dream and build big, and for that, the company is grateful.
“Taft Properties simply would not be where it stands today without Cebu,” said Taft Properties President Jack Gaisano on the company’s 20th anniversary. This year’s theme is Gratitude—a time to acknowledge stakeholders throughout the history of Taft Properties, and to appreciate the company’s place of origin. To this, Taft Properties says, “Daghang salamat, Cebu!”
